GCHQ document details when they discovered Peter Thiel’s Palantir

Peter Thiel has often tried to downplay his company’s role in the mass surveillance of citizen data exposed in the Snowden files, however we see in this GCHQ file obtained by The Intercept that the UK signal intelligence agency was courted by Thiel’s Palantir at a VisWeek conference back in 2008.

Palantir went on to become a key component in the NSA’s XKEYSCORE software that pools through tens of billions of pieces of citizen metadata like a deep state Google.
