The newly-appointed DNC Chair Tom Perez coordinated an attack on the ‘false narrative about Bernie [Sanders] and Latinos’ along with Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager John Podesta – the Wikileaks Podesta Emails reveal.
Perez was Obama’s Secretary of Labor at the time. His clear efforts to progress Clinton’s campaign expressed in these emails contrast with the neutral stance that he was supposed to hold as an acting member of Obama’s cabinet during the primaries.
Perez – largely considered to be a representative of the establishment Clinton bloc of the party – was narrowly elected chairman of the Democratic National Committee on Saturday, beating the ‘anti-big money’ candidate Keith Ellison.
The divisive campaign echoed the primaries from last year, with the ‘progressive’ candidate Ellison being subjected to multiple personal stings like his ally Sanders before him.
Just over two weeks after Ellison announced, the largest single funder of both the Democratic Party and the Clinton campaign — the Israeli-American billionaire Haim Saban — launched an incredibly toxic attack on Ellison, designed to signal his veto. “He is clearly an anti-Semite and anti-Israel individual.
There was not a single piece of evidence presented by Saban that suggested that Ellison supported anything other than an equitable approach towards the Israel-Palestine divide that safeguards human rights for both Israelis and Palestinians. Ellison began his career as a Civil Rights Attorney for a non-profit organisation; his accuser Saban, on the other hand, ran into criticism when he suggested that American Muslims should face ‘more scrutiny’ back in 2015.
Ellison was also lambasted for his politics as a student; reportedly sympathizing with the controversial Nation of Islam movement. He has repeatedly distanced himself from the organisation throughout his political career.

Congrats again. While I recognize that the mother load is Texas, I am very excited about Massachusetts. I know it is not yet done, but it is looking good. I also look forward to my appearance on Telemundo tomorrow where I can trumpet her strong support among Latinos and put a fork once and for all in the false narrative about Bernie and Latinos.Congrats

Earlier this week The Gateway Pundit reported that in a debate on CNN, Perez refused to answer the question on whether or not the primaries were rigged for Hillary Clinton when he was asked three different times.
